On November 16, 2016, Colonel Piotr Suszyński and representatives of the Agency visited three companies in the aviation sector in the Podkarpacie Region: Polskie Zakłady Lotnicze, Eurotech in Mielec and ultratech in Sędziszów Małopolski.
At the Polish Lockheed Martin Company, the company's president, Janusz Zakręcki, and technical director Bogdan Ostrowski presented the company's history and achievements in the field of aircraft construction and production as well as current research and development projects. POLSA representatives enjoyed the assembly line of the Black Hawk multi-purpose helicopter.
Eurotechnical President Janusz Michalcewicz presented the VERMIN System of Air Targets developed by this company and used by the Polish Army. The system includes Shogun unmanned aerial vehicles, a ground control flight station and a pneumatic propulsion system. Currently, Eurotech is working on the design of a new air-to-air imager - HAASTA.
The third company - Ultratech - is a family-owned company, managed by Mark Bujny, since 2000, producing parts and components for global aviation and power companies. These products are manufactured by the machining of semi-finished products of different grades of steel, aluminum and titanium. Ultratech can already be proud of its experience in space projects. For the ExoMars mission and the Ariane program.
One of the tasks of the Polish Space Agency and its branch in Rzeszów is to support the development of the Polish space industry, also by helping Polish airlines to build the necessary competences in the space sector. Air Valley visits are also aimed at gaining a more detailed understanding of the capabilities that local companies have in their space projects, especially those that may be relevant to the defense of the country.
Representatives of the Polish Space Agency also took part in the Congress 590 organized in the Exhibition and Congress Center of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.
