"Polish Space Night" during Mission to the United States

The Polish Space Agency is working on a Mission to the United States. One of its elements is participation in the jubilee 70th International Astronautical Congress, which will take place on October 21-25. in Washington. A key event during the Mission is also the "Polish Space Night", prepared in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Polish Embassy in Washington, and the Polish Space Industry Association, with the substantive support of Industrial Development Agency and the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology. This event will take place October 22. It will present the potential of the Polish space sector, as well as the capabilities of domestic entities operating in this area.

Mission to the United States

Mission to the United States

During October 21-25, 2019, Washington, D.C., will host the 70th anniversary of the world's most important event in the space sector - the International Astronautical Congress (IAC).  On this occasion, the Polish Space Agency (POLSA) will organize an exhibition booth promoting the Polish space sector, as well as an economic mission to Washington, D.C.  Information on the achievements of the Polish space sector will be featured at the IAC. The POLSA booth will additionally provide a gathering point for representatives of the Polish space sector at IAC, so that participants may conveniently meet with Polish aerospace companies in one location.

    POLSA coordinates the participation of representatives of Polish programs of the European Union (EU), the European Space Agency (ESA), the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) and the European Defence Agency (EDA) in the field of space research, space technology and satellite technology.

Polish Space Agency (POLSA) was established by the Act of 26 September 2014. The task of the Agency is to support the Polish space industry by combining the world of business and science. We also help to get provision for entrepreneurs in obtaining funds from the European Space Agency (ESA). An important aspect of the Agency's activity is to promote the development of satellite technology that can be used in everyday life, including communication, navigation, environmental monitoring and weather forecasting.

The priority task of the Polish Space Agency is to take care of the security of the country and its citizens and to increase Polish defense capabilities through the use of satellite systems.
