Responding to challenges posed by the growing range of threats to social security, economy and the environment, the Polish Space Agency and the Gdańsk Economic Development Agency Ltd (InvestGDA) organise a conference on ‘Satellite technologies and applications for crisis management’, which will take place on 27-28 May 2024. The event hosted by the European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk is addressed to decision-makers, public administration and companies from the space industry.
The main purpose of the conference is to present the benefits of available space-based services and products, such as secure satellite communications, satellite navigation and satellite imagery, for public administration in the context of crisis management.
The event will gather representatives of European agencies, members of the Polish parliament, state administration and institutions and services subordinated to the government or regional authorities at various levels.
A wide spectrum of participants, having practical experience in using satellite services and products or interested in introducing them in their professional activities, will guarantee an interesting discussion and exchange of knowledge and useful insights.

The conference has obtained the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, the Government Centre for Security, Marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodeship and the Mayor of the City of Gdańsk. More detailed information will appear soon.
